After studying Physics at Oxford University, Dr Vivekananda studied Medicine at Kings College London. He undertook a PhD at UCL investigating 'Presynaptic channelopathies' supervised by Professor Dimitri Kullmann. He completed higher neurology training at St George's Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square as a NIHR academic clinical lecturer. He was awarded a MRC New Investigator grant to develop OP-MEG technology. He was recently awarded a Wellcome Career Development Award to investigate anhedonia in epilepsy.
