about us

We are dedicated to understanding the mechanisms underlying epilepsy from single cell (using intracranial electroencephalography) to whole brain level (using magnetoencephalography and MRI lesion deficit modelling). We also investigate important co-morbidities associated with epilepsy such as mood disorder and memory performance. We are involved with developing new methods in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy (such as optically pumped magnetoencephalography).

We are based at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Epilepsy (https://www.ucl.ac.uk/ion/research/research-departments/department-clinical-and-experimental-epilepsy), Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience (https://www.ucl.ac.uk/icn/institute-cognitive-neuroscience) and Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging (https://www.fil.ion.ucl.ac.uk/).
We have collaborations with:
