She is currently using a multi-modal approach including Optically Pumped Magnetometers and functional network mapping to identify brain networks underlying neuropsychiatric symptoms in pre- and post-surgical epilepsy patients. Chet GohilChet is a research fellow working at the intersection of AI and neuroimaging to study brain function. He is particularly interested in using optically pumped magnetometer (OPM) data to investigate anhedonia and reward circuits in epilepsy patients. His previous work focused on developing dynamic network models for electrophysiological data. He undertook a PhD at UCL investigating 'Presynaptic channelopathies' supervised by Professor Dimitri Kullmann. He completed higher neurology training at St George's Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square as a NIHR academic clinical lecturer. He was awarded a MRC New Investigator grant to develop OP-MEG technology. He was recently awarded a Wellcome Career Development Award to investigate anhedonia in epilepsy. We also investigate important co-morbidities associated with epilepsy such as mood disorder and memory performance. We are involved with developing new methods in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy (such as optically pumped magnetoencephalography).
